Golf Society Guide - As an increasingly common way to enjoy playing many of the extraordinary and varied golf courses the UK and Ireland has on offer, many avid golfers turn to joining – or establishing – a golf society, as opposed to becoming a club member.
This gives society members three distinct advantages: 1. They can play an array of courses without having to set aside a one-off payment for membership. 2. As far as the social side of societies is concerned, you won’t find a more vibrant scene. 3. However well you play, you are certain to have fun, and could even win a few prizes along the way.
Acknowledging the continually growing number of golf societies in recent years, while at the same time recognizing that, for the organizer, arranging the day can be something of a stressful task, PSP has compiled the Society Golf Guide, new for 2010.
In it you will find 100 of the British Isles’ most visitor-friendly, who are looking to be part of the £25million-a-year society golf business.
Each course is profiled - with a description of every facility and detail that a golf group could ever want to know before booking an outing - with contact details allowing them to sign up and some spectacular images showing them what is awaiting them when they do.
What’s more, as an added enticement, each venue has also supplied a Society Golf Guide-specific special offer, only available to those groups that pick up the guide – thus giving courses a good idea of how successful their inclusion in the A5 booklet has been and giving societies a real incentive to get their hands on a copy as quickly as possible.
Each course has also been provided with its own page on the also brand new and state of the art Golf Society Guide website, where they can show their wares to the online audience from far and wide.
In truth, for golfing groups, it is a one-stop shop when it comes to selecting where to play in 2010, and is an essential piece of equipment in the bag of any one of over 1,500 societies that exist in the UK and Ireland today.
